MOOSE

Moose population in Saskatchewan by resent studies show the population has been growing or holding its own.  The hunting regulations have changed in the past few years to allow bulls to grow to maturity.  The area Delta Big Game Outfitters hunts, uses rivers, cannels and small lakes.  These shallow waters make a great haven for all game to hide. The water locked land allows Bulls in the area to age and to get as large as 50 to 60 inch which have been harvested by past clients. This water locked land also makes the area very hard for just anyone to get to. The area our clients can hunt is the entire Wildlife Management Zone 60 which is about 1450 square miles.

Check our info & Pricing page for Canadian Government site for firearm forms and information needed for proper firearm procedures at the US/Canada border as well as our current pricing. A non-refundable deposit is required to hold your hunt.

MOOSE HUNT

The Moose hunts will be a 6 day hunt.

Early season October 1-14
Late season November 1-14

We start by doing some pre scouting to see where Bulls are calling in our area. Your adventure begins when you get to camp at about noon.  We then have a short briefing with questions and answers. Then go out to our remote camps (for our early October hunts) either by boat or by ATV. We get settled in to our cabins, have a big supper and get ready for an early morning.

The morning starts off with a large breakfast.  Then you are off with your guide in one of our boats to hunt for the morning. We call in the mornings and in the evenings when the bulls are most active. With moose being nocturnal animals, it does not help calling in mid day when they are bedded down.  Moose being such a large animal, we will help each other (guides) when a client gets their moose to ensure proper care of the trophy and meat. We will either pack a lunch or be back at camp for lunch. We will also use drives in the afternoon if the bulls are not calling well. Then be off with your guide for the evening calling hunt.

When arriving back in the evening there will be a large supper and some good time to relax. All of our Moose hunts are one on one guided hunts. We recommend 300 magnum or equivalent.
