BEAR

Delta Big Game Outfitters area is 500 square miles of prime Black Bear area. Saskatchewan black bears population is about 30% color phase with colors ranging from black, brown, blond, and cinnamon.  Saskatchewan law allows hunters to use food supplements to entice bear into shooting range.  This allows our hunters to see more than one bear during a hunt.  This also allows our hunters to observe bears and how they behave in the forest.

An ongoing government study in the area show the bear population has tripled since 2005.  Delta Big Game Outfitters average color phase ratio is 40%. We have had some spring bears that have weight as much as 300lbs and larger, other boars have had a scull size as large as 21.5” and in color phase. We recommend 30 calibre or larger for these large boars.

Check our info & Pricing page for Canadian Government site for firearm forms and information needed for proper firearm procedures at the US/Canada border as well as our current pricing. A non-refundable deposit is required to hold your hunt.

BEAR HUNT

The Black Bear hunts will be 5 days.

May 1- June 30

We have two different types of hunts; first is out of our main camp with some of homes amenities.  You travel to your hunt either by truck or ATV. The second is one of our remote outpost camps; there you have comfortable wood heated cabins and the outdoors to enjoy.  At the outposts, we travel by ATV or by boat to our hunting locations.

The adventure begins when you arrive at camp, there is a short briefing and questions and answer time, then time to settle in and relax.  If you are bunking at one of our outpost camps, then after the briefing you will ride by AVT or boat out to camp and settle in and relax. The hunts are done in the late afternoon and evening when bears are most active. We have trail cameras on our bait, if there is action on the bait in the morning and our hunter would like to go out, we will give him every opportunity to harvest an animal.

Clients will be checked upon at predetermined times to ensure client safety and care for their harvested game.   The stand locations will vary in height and distance, up to 100 yards from food supplements.  Let us know if you cannot handle heights or climbing ladders so we can make arrangements for you.

The mornings can be yours to hunt, relax or to try some fishing.
